Wich version of TinyTERM should one use on a particular Microsoft Windows platform?

Question:

I have Windows ME. When I install TinyTERM and reboot, I get multiple error messages.

Answer:

Your version of TinyTERM is probably too old to run well on Windows ME, Windows 2000 or Windows XP. You'll need to uninstall the product and upgrade to the latest version of TinyTERM.

Question:

What is the minimum version of TinyTERM required for my version of Windows?

Answers:

Windows 95, 98 or NT 4.0 - TinyTERM 4.00 or higher
Windows 2000 or ME - TinyTERM 4.10 or higher
Windows XP - TinyTERM 4.20 or higher.

Question:

I have an older version of TinyTERM that has been running with no problem for years. Can I keep using it?

Answer:

Century Software no longer supports TinyTERM versions prior to 4.00. This includes all versions of TERM for Windows, up to and including TERM 7.2. While the product may continue to work without problems, no support or patches are available except those on our web site

TinyTERM for DOS, TERM for DOS and TERM for UNIX/Linux are not subject to the same version restrictions.
