Captiva PixTools SDKChoosing the right toolkitPixTools for .Net is a comprehensive Software Developer Kit (SDK) for Microsoft NET environments comprised of scanning, viewing, and image processing modules. The PixTools suite also contains five individual SDKs for C/C++ environments: PixTools EZ, PixTools Scan, PixTools View, PixTools Image Processing, and PixTools Distributed Imaging. As components of a suite, the PixTools SDKs work better when used together EMC Captiva recommends the following bundles: PixTools EZ and PixTools Image Processing:With the complete scanning and viewing capabilities of Pixlools EZ, this software bundle provides the quickest entry into document capture management and satisfies the requirements of the majority of imaging applications. For rapid application development in Visual Basic & .NET environments, PixTools EZ (ActiveX) and PixTools Image Processing(COM Object) provide developers complete control over document imaging integration. PixTools Scan, PixTools View, and PixTools Image Processing:For system level access, the bundle of PixTools Scan, PixTools View, and PixTools Image Processing provides a complete document imaging solution in the form of .dll libraries and COM objects for low-level application control. This solution is best for programmers who require very specialized control of their applications. PixTools Distributed Imaging:EMC Captiva also offers PixTools Distributed Imaging. PixTools Distributed Imaging works as a stand-alone imaging solution or in conjunction with other PixTools SDKs to embed scanning directly into web-based applications and process image and data transmission directly to web servers. Users of applications built with PixTools Distributed Imaging can securely scan, display, and index directly within Internet Explorer. PixTools Distributed Imaging is delivered as HTML compatible configurable ActiveX client control and a Java servlet, making this solution ideal for adding distributed capture capabilities to an application. Multiple remote users can scan and index at the document creation source and then transmit documents to the web server for access by other applications. |
