This year's Red Hat & JBoss EMEA Partner Summit will focus on open source middleware, cloud computing and virtualization. Burkhardt will explain why open source is the business model of the future and the benefits ISVs can achieve by leveraging open source solutions for SaaS and cloud applications. He will also discuss the latest innovation in the database industry, Ingres VectorWise.
Breakout Session -- On May 4 at 12:10 p.m. CET, Bertram Mandel, vice president sales and services and managing director, Ingres Germany GmbH, will host the breakout session, "Ingres: Partners Are the Core of Our Business." The presentation will review the Ingres partner program and highlight how partnerships are central to the Ingres strategy. Mandel will also discuss why leading analyst firms have named Ingres as the only open source database on the market suitable for business-critical environments.
Roundtable -- On May 4 at 15:20 p.m. CET, Olaf Laber, director of business development, Ingres, will host the round table "Accelerating the Future -- The Ingres Partner Plus Program." Laber will provide details of the new Ingres Partner Plus Program and will highlight the positive effects of partnerships and collaborations for ISVs, while demonstrating how Red Hat "Advanced Partners" and Red Hat "Ready Partners" can benefit from the program.
Workshop -- On May 4 from 13:50 to 17:55 p.m. CET, Alexander Thiem, consultant professional services, Ingres, will offer a workshop on "How to Migrate from Oracle to Ingres." In this technical training and simulation session, Thiem will offer a short demonstration on how to migrate from Oracle to Ingres and will show how to set up an Ingres Database server for JBoss AS and JBoss Developer Studio.
